13th Annual Oxenreider Relays

North Penn girls won six of the eight relay events on the track! Highlights of their big day included a 49.64 win in the 4x100 and a 12:46.18 win in the distance medley relay. Cyre Virgo of Fleetwood Area started her outdoor high jump title defense with a T-US#5 clearance of 5-8 to win the season opener. Aghina Marshall of Methacton won the long jump with a mark of 17-10, just ahead of teammate Jenny Martin (17-8.50). Carissa Lorimer of Blue Mountain threw 128-10 to win the javelin.

For the boys, Coatesville ran 43.39 to edge out Methacton in the 4x100 meter relay (43.57). North Penn ran 10:48.70 to win the distance medley relay. Spring Ford ran 3:28.85 to win the 4x400 meter relay. Gregory Johnson of Schuylkill Valley jumped 22-10 to win the long jump. Morgan Shigo of Fleetwood threw 56-5 to win the shot put and 162-4 to win the discus. Brandon Palaia of Spring Ford threw 180-1 to win the javelin.

Pirate Invitational 2014

Joey Logue of Pennridge started his final outdoor season on fire, as he stormed through the 1600 meter field with a time of 4:20.57! Mike Class of Pennridge won the 100 (11.44) and 200 meter dashes (23.49). Ishmael Wright of Quakertown ran 50.16 to win the 400 meter dash. Nick Koehler of Pennridge won the high hurdles (16.08) and the intermediate hurdles (41.68). Pennridge also swept all three relays, including a 3:27.18 4x400 meter relay victory.

For the girls, Allison Gallagher of Souderton won the high hurdles (16.64) and the intermediate hurdles (49.06). Paige Demetriades of Tamaqua threw 125-10 to win the javelin.

Tim Cook Memorial Invitational - 9th Annual

Jhett Janis of Cocalico exploded into the 2014 outdoor season by taking the national lead in the javelin! The 2013 state medalist threw a lifetime best 199-7 to win the event, a personal best of almost five feet! In other action, Peter Hughey of James Buchana ran a strong meet record time of 49.76 to win the 400 meter dash. Chance Post of Conestoga Valley also had an explosive debut, running 39.01 to edge out Charles Bowman Jr (39.48) to win the 300 meter hurdles.

For the girls, Sierra Brabhim-Lawrence followed her semifinalist honor at the New Balance Indoor Nationals with a victory in the 300 meter hurdles. The junior ran 45.38 to break a seven year old meet record and was not far off her lifetime best 44.64 from last May. Her teammates also won the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 4:05.53. GeZoriea Amos of Williamsport ran 25.80 to win the 200 meter dash. Lilly Harnish of Waynesboro cleared 5-4 to win the high jump.
