Carrollton Orthopedic Summary- Sukhi Khosla Shines, Lindsay Billings Delivers

                                                                               Championship Boys

For anyone in our great state having doubts, Sukhi Khosla erased them earlier Saturday, making the 'State Meet Course' his personal plaything running away for the Overall win in 15:53. How could he excel on those Carrollton hills one may ask..Well, let me educate you that there are some real hills in North Florida east of the Chattahoochee River thru Monticello Fla as I lived and worked there for years. This should make Khosla a strong contender to Q' for Foot Locker Nationals.

The Holy Trinity (Melbourne FL) duo of Kattenberg and Cacciatore  placed 2nd and 3rd respectively at Carrollton running in tandem down the final finishing hill. Soph Trevor Kattenberg clocked a 16:41 and teamate senior Andrew Cacciatore was a hair back in 16:42 leading highly ranked Holy Trinity to a 5th place team finish.

I may begin to draw the ire of some folks with nicknames and such, but junior John Green from West Forsyth has the look of a 'madman' (gotta love the socks) as he focuses intensley on the job at hand placing 4th overall in 16:47 as his stock continues to rise as a contender for a 6A Individual title.

Marietta's Khayvonn Benson may be establishing himself as the top Blue Devil after his 5th place performance in 16:51 at Carrollton leading the way to the Championship race team title.

What else can be said about Northview's Lindsay Billings? The 5A XC, 1600,3200m state Champ is beginning to feast on 6A competition this Fall. And her :26 victory over 'super frosh' Rafaella Gibbons from Florida is just another feather in her hat. Lindsay does not train alone at Northview as her teamates ran great as well resulting in a 2nd place team finish.

Winter Park's (FL) Rafaella Gibbons is the real deal as proven at the challenging Carrollton course as this may have been her toughest course yet to run on in HS. Gibbons' 18:58 rings true to her potential as a challenger to Q' as a frosh for either Foot Locker or Nike Nationals. Oh, she also led Winter Park to the Championship Girls 1st place trophy!

Its possible that 2013 Foot Locker National Finalist Landmark Christian's Kathryn Foreman may have had an 'off day' at Carrollton  Orthopedic, but, she still placed 3rd in 19:52 and teamates Nicole Fegans and lil' sis Sarah ran very well placing 7th/8th overall leading Landmark to 4th in team scoring,
