Early Signing Period: Send Us Your College Choices & Signing Photos

National Signing Day has come early for runners in both cross country and track and field. The early signing period allows athletes to sign allows athletes to make their announcements starting today through next Wednesday, November 19th. For those who choose to wait it out, the final signing period will open on April 15, 2015 and close on August 1, 2015.  Many of the top stars around the country will have official signing ceremonies, while others may do so in the coming days. Who will be the college programs to line up an amazing class to make then national championship contenders over the next years? STA Duo Bring Stellar Speed To Aggieland

     

Two of the top sprinters in the country Krystal Sparling and Diamond Spaulding have decided to head west to the Lonestar State and join powerhouse Texas A&M.  Sparling, who was 4th at the Adidas Grand Prix Dream 100 and second at the Brooks PR Invitational has personal bests of 11.34  for 100m and 23.34 for 200m.  Spaulding, one of the top 200 meter runners in the country has a personal best of 23.00 in that event and was runner-up at New Balance Outdoor Nationals, and has several individual state titles to her name, as well as numerous relays and team state championships. Sparling and Spaulding were also a part of the Raider's relay teams that were the best in the nation.

 
        
 
The First Academy's Michael Timpson Jr. poses with Coach Ricky Argro and father Michael Timpson Sr. after signing his NLI to the University of Florida. Timpson, who transferred to TFA for his junior season won the 1A state championship in the 100m dash and was second in the 200m.

     

 

New University of Tennessee coach Beth Alford-Sullivan nabs Florida's top quarter-miler in American's Ari Cogdell.Cogdell led the Patriots to a runner-up finish at the 4A state championships finishing 4th in the open 400m, and anchoring the school's winning 4x400m relay. His 46.67 at the 4A Region 4 Championships is the fastest returning time in the state for the upcoming season, and sixth fastest in the nation. In addition to that nationally ranked time, his anchor leg at the Golden South Classic gave American a US#2 time of 3:12.12.

 
 
Pasco distance runner Zach Weaver, who transferred to the Sunshine State from Tennessee for his senior season, has signed with Mississippi State University.

 

Royal Palm Beach sprinter Erin Ford stays close to home and picks the University of Miami.

    
 

Nicole Carroll, a two time pole vault state champion in 2A, from Tampa Catholic has decided to stay in Tampa and attend the University of South Florida.
