The 2014-2015 school year has provided some great highlights in both cross country and track across the Sunshine State. In the coming weeks many of our seniors will head out to start their college careers both athletically and academically. We wanted to salute them one more time in this special feature and say thank you for your support over the years.

What was your most memorable race/moment?

My most memorable moment was running at the 2014 Steinbrenner meet and winning 1st place while breaking the school record.

Who would you consider your biggest competition over your four years?

Deja Hillman from Haines City and myself.

What was your greatest accomplishment?

Making it to state for triple jump and breaking the long jump record.

If you could do it all over again what would you change about your running career in high school?

I would take my senior year more seriously and take care of my body.

What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?

I had to constantly recover from three different injuries within one season and try to perform at the best of my ability.

What will you miss the most?

Running with my 4x4 teammates, competing against different high level individuals, and supporting my teammates.

What advice you would give to younger athletes?

No matter what the situation is give it your all because you don't know who is watching you.

What influence has your coach had with respect to your performance and overall life goals?

Coach Haggins has had a huge influence on my performance and overall life goals. Words cannot explain how much he has meant to me.

What are your college plans?

I plan to attend Coffeyville Community College.

Who would you like to say thank you to?

Family, coaches, and everyone who has impacted my life by giving influential advice.

Is there anything else you'd like to add?
