Recruiting Rundown: Chauncy Smart - Auburndale High School

Smart's personal best of 10.30w to win the Pepsi Florida Relays ranks as the third best 100m time in the nation in the senior class.

What are your top five schools?

My top five schools are FSU, Florida, Iowa, Texas, and Alabama.

What has the recruiting process been like for you since coaches could contact athletes on July 1st?

The recruiting process been very hectic since July 1st. Schools from all over the country have been in contact with me and calling me to set up in home visits.

Have you had any in home visits?

I have had visits from UNC, Miami, and LSU. I love the environment up in UNC, Miami has a nice facility also. LSU was awesome and had a nice track. 

What are you looking for in a school?

I'm looking for a good environment and a good education!

What kind of athlete can they expect to get from Chauncy Smart?


They are getting an athlete that's going to work hard and never stop working until he reaches his goal.
