  • 8th grader Isabella Pawloski wanted to try her hand at the 5k distance instead of her usual 3k and said afterward she had a blast doing it. Pawloski came away with the win in 20:46.80 on an extended West Orange course from previous years. Victoria Rohloff was second in 20:54.10. Shyanne Mayes finished third for the host West Orange Warriors. The First Academy had three runners in the top seven with Isabel Crist, Caitlin Barker, and Caroline Crist. The Royals scored 30 points to win the team battle.
  • The boys race came down to an 100m sprint with Bradyn Ricca of Merritt Island outkicking Artise Lewis of West Orange 17:27.30 to 17:27.90. Ricca finished first for the Mustangs with teammates Cameron Klug, Matt Lake, and Bill White going 7-8-9 to give them the team title and an impressive score of 37 points.

  • Girls Race Highlights: Hagerty's Nicolette Worrell edged out Lake Brantley freshman Ashley Klingenberg in her high school debut with times of 20:09.20 and 20:10.08 respectively. Patriots place four in the top ten to win with 36 points over Hagerty (45) and Lake Mary (49).
  • Boys Race Highlights: Bryce Bell takes over the number one role for the Lyman Greyhounds after the graduation of Joshua Jacques and Jordan Armstrong. Bell conquered the field in 16:32.33, more than 30 seconds faster than runner-up Caanan St. Lewis of Lake Mary (17:07.24). Oviedo won the team title with five guys in the top 13 and a total of 42 points. Lyman (67), and Hagerty (77) rounded out the top three teams.
