Flashback Friday: Eighth Grader Tyrese Cooper Runs Insane Sprint Triple In Florida

Tyrese Cooper is in eighth grade, but is already running high school and college-level times in the sprints.

Tyrese Cooper was setting records way before high school. As an 8th grader racing for Miami Gardens XPress Track Club at the Florida Middle School State Championships  he set meet records in the 100 (10.61), 200 (21.26), and 400m dash (47.76). Those times ranked him with the best of the best at the high school level and even would have qualified him for the NCAA Championship

The cut-off times for the first round of the NCAA Championship that year were 10.5 in the 100m, 21.09 in the 200m and 47.14.
