Olympic champion Kerron Clement and Florida rising star T.J. Holmes advanced to the men's 400m hurdles final Monday at the IAAF World Championships in London.
With a late surge in the final 100-meter stretch, Clement claimed his position in the final with a victory in heat one. He came back from behind to win the race in 48.35.
Holmes also won his respective heat with a lean in heat two. The Florida All-American ran 49.12 to beat Karium Hussein. But his former Gator teammate Eric Futch finished third in heat three. Unfortunately, he will not advance on time to the final.
