Team Florida sent three female athletes to San Diego for the 2017 Foot Locker Nationals. Alyssa Hendrix finished 8th at the Foot Locker South Regional to earn her first trip to sunny San Diego. Of the forty athletes in the field, Hendrix was one of nine underclassmen. She surprised herself in a shining debut , an 18th place finish and time of 18:24.00. The Riverview standout was third for the South team and the fourth fastest freshmen/sophomore girl overall.
