Christian Coleman Wins The 2017 Bowerman Award

Tennessee's Christian Coleman has been named The Bowerman award winner for the 2017 NCAA season.

Coleman is the first Bowerman winner from Tennessee and the fourth straight SEC male athlete to win.

Coleman's 2017 Resume:

- Set the NCAA record in the 100m with a mark of 9.82; the previous record was 9.89, held by 2010 Bowerman Award winner Ngoni Makusha

- Tied the NCAA record in the 60m with a mark of 6.45; Coleman's time is the non-altitude collegiate record

- Won four NCAA Division I titles: 60m, 100m, indoor 200m, outdoor 200m

- Ran the second-fastest 200m times in NCAA history in both the indoor 200m (20.11) and outdoor 200m (19.85)

- Became the eighth man in world history to break 10 seconds in the 100m and 20 seconds in the 200m in the same day

- His NCAA 100m record of 9.82 is the fastest time in the world this year
