Loren Johnson of Oakleaf followed in the girls Triple Jump with an excellent mark of 11.56 (37' -11 1/4").

The girls High Jump featured a thrilling duel between Kaley Petroskey of Middleburg and Corliss Holland of Raines, who ended up tying, both with jumps of 1.67m (5'-5 3/4")

Melvin Briley of Oakleaf soared to a jump of 14.29m (46'-10 1/2") in the boys Triple Jump. Briley has the best mark of the season so far in the event in 4A.

On to the running events ... the boys' 400 meters was probably the best event of the night, with Alex Collier of Orange Park High School nipping Daidren Davis of Bartram Trail at the wire, 49.16 to 49.19.

The boys 200 Meters featured Marlon Brooks of Raines winning in a sizzling 21.72. Brooks' time is the 4th fastest time in division 2A this season.

Nathan Jubran of Bishop Kenny continued his success with a win in the boys 800m. A week after running 4:17.35 at the Bartram Trail Bear Classic, Jubran won the half lap event in 1:59.03 and said after he is hoping to get back in the 1:57 range.

The most outstanding girls event of the night was Claire Openshaw running 10:50.83 to win the 3200 Meters. Her time registers as the 9th fastest girls 3200 Meters by a prep girl this season.

For the girls team scores, Creekside scored an impressive and decisive victory with 103.5 points. Raines placed second with 81 points and Oakleaf 3rd with 78 points.

For the boys, things were much closer, with the whole meet coming down to the 4 x 400 relay. Raines won with an outstanding 3:25.50, but it wasn't enough as Bartram Trail managed 5th Place, getting the 5 points they needed.

When the "dust settled" Bartram Trail ended up nipping Raines by 1 point, 82 to 81. Oakleaf was a close 3rd with 78.
