Gadsden County High School sophomore Dequavious Charleston had a monster day at the 19th Annual Chiles Freshmen-Sophomore Championships this week. Charleston won the 100m dash in a time of 10.74 and followed that up with a win in the 400m, crossing the line in 50.15.
He ended the night by pulling out the trifecta and winning the 200m dash in 22.15. All three marks were meet records. If that wasn't enough he also placed second in the long jump with a mark of 21'0".25.
It's no secret why Charleston is ranked one of the best sophomores in the state of Florida. We look forward to seeing him drop those times even lower over the next two years.
