1984 Leto Team Ranked 10th in latest XC Legacy Series

In the latest article in the XC Legacy Series, an extensive project by MileSplit editor Aron Taylor to honor the great teams of the past, Coach Bobby Ennis' 1984 Leto team was ranked 10th in the nation for the year.  Leto's longtime rival in the 70s and 80s, Coach Brent Haley's Largo, was announced as national champs in the 1983 rankings.  Leto's Long Red Row had many classic battles with Largo over the years and this is probably not the last year these two teams will make an appearance in the national rankings of the XC Legacy Series.  On a side note, we will be visiting with Coach Haley on Tuesday at his home and posting that video interview in a number of parts as soon as possible.  We'll try to sit down with Coach Ennis and other coaching greats if the Haley video is well received.  Full 1984 article...
