Farmer Leads U.S. Relay Team To Win At NACAC Championships

Kyle Farmer ran on the winning 4x100m relay team, while Sekou Clarke took third in the 400m on the final day of competition at the 2004 North American, Central American and Caribbean Athletic Association Championships on Sunday at Université de Sherbrooke Stadium.

Florida men's track and field coach Mike Holloway guided the United States team well on the final day as U.S. athletes won 10 events, bringing the total number of victories to 27 out of 40 events held during the three-day meet.

Farmer ran the third leg on the winning 4x100m relay team as the U.S. captured first with a time of 39.03. The U.S. team won by nearly a second as Barbados finished next in line at 39.83.

Clarke took third in the 400m with a time of 45.98, which was .13 slower than his career best time of 45.85. Canada's Tyler Christopher won the race in 45.25 with Andrae Williams of the Bahamas beating our Clarke for second in 45.91.
