Highlights

3A/4A Boys

Anderson Charles of John I. Leoard won the Boys 3A/4A race in 16:25, that was 21 seconds better than second place Ryan White of Park Vista. Charles set the pace for Leonard's dominating performance that placed its five in the top ten.... 1-3-4-7-10 for 25 points. White's Park Vista was second with 57 points.

3A/4A Girls

Junior Barbara Vilson paced her South Dade to a needle-thin one-point victory over Miami Northwestern 55-56. Vilson placed first in 20:25 and helped the team overcome Northwestern's opening 3-4-6 for their top three. Boyd Anderson's Topaz Brissett was second in 20:32.

1A/2A Boys

Nicholas Palmero of North Broward Prep won easily in 16:59. But it was Scott Simpson's second place 17:39 performance that put King's Academy over top of Archbishop Curley 85-94.

1A/2A Girls

Seventh-grader Daesha Rogers was the lone representative from American Heritage Plantation today, but made the most of it. She beat out rising star eighth grader Adair Lyden of Westminster Academy 19:24 to 19:43.  But despite Lyden's one-point performance for the home team Westminster Academy and the team placing their top five in the top 21, it was Carrollton pulling out a one point victory (44-45). The win was built atop a 59 second 1-5 split... showing once again how imortant a tight pack is in this sport!
