Cross country Turns Into A Contact Sport For Andres Arroyo Of Colonial

Don’t try to convince Colonial junior Andres Arroyo that cross country is not a contact sport. Coming off a Class 4A state championship a week earlier and a solid contender to finish in the top-10 at the Foot Locker South meet, Arroyo ended up finishing 186th in a time of 17 minutes, 8 seconds, in Charlotte, N.C.

    Sounds to me like someone needs to quit whining. 1) running is a contact sport 2) he had a bad race, Godwin had a good one, no need to call him out. 3) I've been in races with him, he's not the cleanest racer himself so he should know that when you give blows you have to be prepared to take them.

    Oh yea, he still has another year, you live and you learn. Very talented kid. I'd put money on him making it next year.

    i completely agree. i have been stepped on, spiked, punched, and elbowed during races. welcome to the midlle pack of running were there isnt much room for yourself and your pride.
