Salute To Seniors: JP Friday - Colonial

What was your most memorable meet?

The most memorable would have to be at the region meet when I PR'd in  the triple jump (49'0) and in the  high jump (6'8).

What would you consider your biggest competition?

I would have to say myself because in field events no one is in your way so it's all mental focus.

Out of all of your high school accomplishments, which stands out the most?

Definitely winning state in triple jump and getting 2nd in the state asa team.

If you could do it all over again what would you change about your high school career?

I would have done track in 9th grade.

What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?

The most difficult obstact was working hard in practice everyday.

What will you miss the most?

My teammates and my coaches. They were a great group of people.

Do you have any advice for younger athletes?

Take no days off. Always work hard when you're at practice so you have great results come time for competition

What are your college plans?

I am attending the University of Miami on a track & field scholarship and would like to major in communications/journalism/broadcasting.

Who would you like to say thank you to?

I would like to thank my family, teammates, coaches, and especially Coach P. He really helped me out and I appreciate it. Most importantly I'd also like to thank God.
