Bay Invitational: Course Records for Kling and Amendt

We have not received results from the Bay Invitational, but what we do know is that there were some big times laid down at the small meet in the Panhandle!

While most were away at the FSU Invitational two and a half hours away in Tallahassee, several area teams were competing at HG Harders Park in Panama City. The Bay Invitational featured Bay HS, Blountstown, Crestview, Pace, Mosely, Arnold, and others.

The girls race was fronted by a new course record from Rachel King of Pace. The sophomore ran just off of her personal best with a time of 19:04 to keep ahead of Arnold's Mikayla Hodges' 19:17. Arnold's #2 runner, Michaela Ashley, was in third place with a 19:41.

Not to be out done by his female counterpart, Brandon Amendt set a big new personal best of 16:43 for a course record of his own. This is the first time for him this season venturing into the 16s, after breaking the 17 minute barrier once last year.
