What it lacked in big crowds, the eager participants made up for in enthusiasm! Today on the hilly NTC course in Clermont 11 teams of five came together for a unique cross country relay event.
Each team ran a total of 25K, with each athlete running two legs of 2500 meters. Splits ranged from just under 8 minutes to well over 15. It wasn\'t time that mattered, it was the challenge and the teammates!

Emilie Amaro took 13th place in 18:26, with Kayla Hale 21st in 18:39 in San Diego. Michael Anderson finished 37th in the boys race with a time of 16:39.

Michael Anderson, Kayla Hale, and Emilie Amaro are now in San Diego preparing to battle it out with the nation\'s best high school cross country runners tomorrow morning at Footlocker Nationals.
The race will take place at Balboa Park. The girls race starts at 9:15am PST (12:15 EST) and the boys gun fires at 10:00am PST (1:00 EST).
Brandon Miles and John Herzog are on site for MileSplit and we will have photos, video, interviews, and race summaries from them posted starting on Saturday evening.
