Foot Locker South's Fastest Floridians: Lily Williams Todd Grasley Nov 23, 2015

In her first year running Foot Locker South, Lily Williams of Chiles captured the tenth and final spot to Foot Locker Nationals in San Diego clocking the 14th fastest time ever by a Floridian of 17:32.00. We caught up with Williams to reflect on that race her senior year in 2011 and what she has been up to since.

Newberry senior Maggie Rice is a three-time state qualifier on the track and has finished 35th, 24th, and 13th at the 2A Cross Country finals the past three seasons. Recently, Rice selected the University of Southern Mississippi to continue her running career. We caught up with her to talk about the decision to join the Golden Eagles.

Two weeks after their third consecutive 2A state championship the Trinity Prep Saints were back in action. The Saints, running under the club name Avery Creek Running Club, competed in the 2015 CC Coaches National Youth Championships in Lexington, Kentucky and came away with a small school national championship.

The 2015 FACA Senior-All Star Classic returns to Tallahassee after a one year hiatus in Orlando. Apalachee Regional Park hosted the event from 2009-2013 and will once again welcome runners to the "cross country playground" of Florida. The girls race is loaded with three individual state champions and several who were apart of team championships.

The 2015 FACA Senior-All Star Classic returns to Tallahassee after a one year hiatus in Orlando. Apalachee Regional Park hosted the event from 2009-2013 and will once again welcome runners to the "cross country playground" of Florida.  The meet record of 15:18.80 set by Ryder Leary of Bishop Kenny in 2003 will not likely be broken, but the ARP meet record of 15:38.35 set by St. Thomas Aquinas' Manny Velasquez in 2014 has the potential to go down.

Jenny Simpson Fastest Ever At FACA All-Star Meet: Who Else Made The List? Todd Grasley Nov 19, 2015

Jennifer Barringer (Simpson) set the fastest time ever at the FACA All-Star Meet when she ran 17:32.70 on the Miccosukee Greenway course. Barringer would go onto win Foot Locker South and place 10th at Foot Locker Nationals ending one of the most spectacular high school careers in the state of Florida and ultimately becoming one of the best American distance runners. In 2015, he guided the Centurion girls to their first ever cross country state championship, when they hoisted the 1A team trophy. Bolles, Chiles State Championships Move Ryan, Gowan To Fifth On All-Time Wins List Rick Rothman Nov 17, 2015

Coach Ryan of Bolles (pictured above with team) and Coach Gowan of Chiles moved up the all-time wins list after the 2015 Cross Country Finals. The Bolles girls picked up their fourth consecutive 2A crown giving him his 9th overall while the Chiles girls continued the rich tradition of the Timberwolves program and gave Gowan his 9th as well. Both coaches pass the late Jeff Sommer of Estero to move into a tie for fifth place.
