What about Jeremy Strainge @ North Broward Prep? about 3 years ago he was state Champion on 2A for both 100 & 200 as a freshmen. But injuries have made him a mystery man.

@trtomas I wondered about him. Same thing happened with Harry Adams & Dedric Dukes in the past. Adams won state meet when he was a soph and really was hurt rest of high school career & Dukes was a freshman phenom (won state 400M in 47.x) and was fantastic when healthy, but that wasn't often. Good news for both of them is that Adams ran great at Auburn (100 Meter Dash 9.96; 200 Meter Dash 20.10; 60 Meter Dash 6.55)and Dukes was part of the 4 x 400 Florida relay team that won NCAA!

I agee with jdpsu. Look out for Kaylin Whitney. Most of the sprinters listed are great runners, but Kalyin Whitney is the only "Phenom". She basically broke those national records without being wind-aided, and wasnt really challenged all year. Many of the fast high school girls' times were wind-aided, and most of the girls were challenged from start to finish. Dont forget, she's a fabulous longjumper as well. In my opinion, if she stays healthy, she will be state champion in the the 100, 200, and longjump for all four years of her high school career. Can't wait to see her against Khali Davis White and other top sprinters. In conclusion, anyone who has been following USATF and AAU Youth Track and Field, will know that Florida has a crop of great young sprinter coming through the ranks. WE TAKIN' OVER!!!
