The Pine Crest girls flexed their muscles at the FSU Invitational/Pre-State showing why they are one of the top ranked girls teams in Florida. Thursday they will welcome South Florida teams to Tradewinds Park for the Pine Crest Cross Country Invitational.

While the girl's are predicted to drop a near perfect score, the individual race will be a little tighter as Nicole Matysik of Key West and 3A runner-up Valerie Lastra of Mater Academy Charter look to break up the firepower of Maya Beleznay, Mahdere Yared, Tsion Yared, and Emily Faulhaber. Westminster Academy sophomore Jasmine Hincapie and The King's Academy 8th grader Mia Rodriguez also figure to be in the mix.

On the boy's side Highlands Christian Academy senior Ryan Szklany is coming off of a win in the boy's select race at Pre-State and has a six second gap on Owen Allen of Key West based on season bests.  The Conchs have a better 1-2 punch then The King's Academy, but they could have four runners in before Key West's number three. This one will truly come down to the fifth man. Don't count out Palmer Trinity and Westminster Academy as well.

We preview all the action and see how our virtual meet has both the girls and boys individual and team battles playing out.
