Where Are They Now? Daniel Moore Todd Grasley Dec 12, 2012

Daniel Moore was a part of the success at Holy Trinity in both track and field as well as cross country. Over his four years he won four state titles, one as an indidivual in the 3200 meters , and three team titles, two in cross country, and one in track and field. Moore is now a freshman at Duke University and just completed his first cross country season as a Blue Devil.

Former Riverview High School standout Michael Babinec continued his running career at the University of South Florida. As a freshman, Babinec competed in six meets for the Bulls' cross country team including the Big East Championships and Division 1 South Regional Championships.

 

Where Are They Now? Mark Gulesian Todd Grasley Dec 07, 2012

Mark Gulesian was a standout for Miami Columbus during their three year cross country state championship run from 2008-2010. Gulesian was also a member of two state champion 4x800 meter relay teams. He is now running for Babson College in Boston, Massachusetts.

Former Melbourne standout Brian Atkinson made a name for himself during his high school career. He accumulated three state titles in track and cross country, was a Foot Locker Finalist, and named Gatorade Florida Cross Country Runner of the Year twice. Now a junior at Duke University, Atkinson talks about his college days and what he remembers most about running for Mel High.

Former John I. Leonard star Ryan Pickering is currently making an impact the University of Oregon. During his high school days Pickering won a state title in the 1600 meters as well as a 4A title in cross country. As a senior he advanced to Foot Locker Nationals in San Diego, where he finished 9th overall. Where Are They Now? Nick Posada Todd Grasley Nov 12, 2012

Nick Posada had a great high school career at Winter Park for the Wildcat's track and field and cross country programs. Posada continued his running career at the University of Michigan and redshirted his freshman year in 2011. He has competed in four cross country races for the Wolverines including an 86th place finish at the Big Ten Championships. He looks to continue his success into track season where he could possibly compete in the 2000m steeplechase as well as mid-distance events.

Former Pope John Paul II standout Stephanie Schappert  followed in the family footsteps by attending Villanova University. While in high school Schappert was a two time state champion in cross country (08 and 09). She also won four outdoor state titles, two in the 1600 and two in the 800. As a freshman Schappert was a huge contributor to the Wildcat track and field team and served as the number eight runner on the cross country team. As a sophomore, she  is looking to make an even greater impact on the Wildcat track and field and cross country programs.

Former Belleview standout Anne-Marie Blaney continued her running career at the University of Central Florida. During her time at Belleview she was a three-time district champion in cross country and placed in the top ten at states in 2010 and 2011. As a freshman she has quickly become one of the top performers for the Knights distance program.

Former Edgewater star Will Bridges is currently a red shirt freshman running for Florida State University. During his time at Edgewater, Bridges finished in the top ten in the 1600 meter outdoors his junior and senior year and finished ninth at the 3A Cross Country Finals his senior year.

David Kilgore had a stellar career at Holy Trinity. During his time he was the 2009 1A cross country runner-up, and 2010 1A cross country state champion. Kilgore also won the 1600 meter state championship in both 2010 and 2011. He his currently a redshirt freshman at the University of Colorado.
