Steinbrenner freshman Ken'naria Gadson has shown her range early in the season running the 200, 400, and 800m. Gadson's personal bests of 25.32 and 56.01 at the George Jenkins Invitational and 2.19.83 Broward Elite Athletic Club Indoor/Outdoor Preseason Showcase have her ranked fourth, first, and second respectively in those events. Scouting Report: Chiles Girls & Boys Todd Grasley Feb 21, 2017

Coach Phllip Browning enters his second year at the helm of the Chiles track and field program. In 2016, the Timberwolves boys were the 3A state champions to continue their streak to three in a row, while the girls team sent eight athletes to state and finished in a three way tie for sixth. We caught up with Browning to get an inside look at this year's team.



Winter Park's Gregory Skage Sets Pole Vault Bar High, Clears PR & FL A-T #3 16'9.25 Todd Grasley Feb 20, 2017

There's something about pole vaulting on your home turf, familiarity with the runway and your surroundings. Just ask Winter Park senior and Air Force signee Gregory Skage. Last year, at the Bob Mosher Wildcat Open he opened up his season with a new personal best of 15'9. At the 2017 edition of the meet, Skage's second meet of the season, he upped his previous best by ONE FOOT, clearing 16'9. 


Who Won The Week? Boys All-State Results Merge Todd Grasley Feb 20, 2017

Charles Rivera and Charles Hicks of Bolles clocked the fastest two times in the boys 1,600m. Meanwhile in the sprints, Tyrese Cooper made his outdoor debut with a splash running 45.45 to win the 400, but then being DQ'ed for taunting after his 200m race which he would have won. We merged the results from around the state and tallied the top 50 performances in every event to see who won the week.

For this week's Flashback Friday we rewind to the 2016 Louie Bing Classic which featured 183 national elite performances and ELEVEN US#1 performances. Check out all eleven races that burned up track including the fastest girls 400m at the time set by Southridge junior Symone Mason with a time of 53.52s! Southridge seniors and University of Miami signees Symone Mason and Kayla Johnson made their marks on the Louie Bing girls all-time list setting top ranked performances in the 400 (53.52) and 800 (2:09.60) respectively. Miami Northwestern sprinter Twanisha Terry added herself to the top spot in the 200m last year and will look to lead the host Lady Bulls to victory. We rank the 50 best performances in EVERY event in the meet's history.


Louie Bing Classic: Boys All-Time Rankings Todd Grasley Feb 16, 2017

Tyrese Cooper proved he was a stud right off the bat in 2016. In his freshmen debut for American High School he set all-time Louie Bing Classic records in the 100 (10.57), 200  (20.68), and 400 meter dash 46.63) breaking those of former Florida Gator stars Hugh Graham Jr. and Arman Hall. He's back after a spectacular indoor campaign to improve those times even more. We rank the 50 best performances in EVERY event in the meet's history.
