Winter in Florida brings on the onslaught of high school track practices, with the start of the outdoor season just underway. Yes, our athletes participate in indoor track, but as there are few facilities dedicated to indoor track as we have weather that supports outdoors, indoor is used primarily to get in shape and tweak out technique. Over the course of the next three months, we will be seeing the best and brightest of our youth stepping into the blocks, ring, and starting their run! Today, we feature one of Northeast FL's best athletes in Paxon School's Braxton Canady.

Northeast Florida is prepared to be put on the track and field map over the next two weeks. Jacksonville is the site of two of USATF’s National championship events, the Masters’ Nationals and the Junior Olympics.
