Would be a lot more excited if it was not $400. Priced a lot of teams completely out of your meet. You need to rethink this.

Unfortunately the cost of running at a private business is quite high due to the expenses the hosts have. The educational system in the USA is the best and brightest example that exists! High Schools pay very little to host a meet. When you get into the private sector they have to pay for everything and the third party sanction is expensive. It was not cheap to run the State Track Meet at IMG!

You need to take a course in business to see how big business operates. Everything costs. i.e. if they give one day passes to the parks to the officials and volunteers, cross country has to pay for those. They have to pay everyone their hourly rate who works at Disney. They have to pay trainers an hourly rate of $30.00 or more plus restocking fees, etc. it's big business not the socialist school systems where you hardly pay for anything.

tjump69 whatever your costs are you CANNOT justify doubling your prices. If they need to do that not to lose money maybe they shouldn't be hosting it. They are recovering money from last year on the backs of competing teams this year. My teams have enjoyed the Disney meet in the past and we have actually made team weekends of it. I am not down on Disney in general just this poor decision to double entry fees.

Cost is the ONLY reason we are not there this year. The kids love to run Disney and my account had the money, but could not justify it. We did run in an "old School" hand scored invite on Honeymoon Island yesterday and had a blast!
