Chain of Lakes Park
1311 N Us Highway 1, Titusville, FL 32796
The course is a new park built behind Brevard Community College in Titusville, off of US 1. It is actually the same location geographically speaking where the FHSAA State Meet was held in 1999 and 2000; however, what used to be swampy orange grove is now a beautiful park.
The lovely man-made lakes are filled with wildlife including fish, ducks, and alligators (so no swimming!). Through the wonders of engineering, even in the wettest of times the lake level never rises but a few inches. A paved running trail completely encircles the permimeter of the lakes, but on the cross country course we keep them in the grass to the side of the trail. Runners cross over bridges and along the banks. They run a mile of the course in "the horseshoe", an area that will be completely lined with spectators. While on the opposite bank of the lake, it is narrow enough that it is easily visible without the need for binoculars.
There is only a small part of the course that is out of the spectators view, but those who are aggressive and mobile can still get to these parts as well. There is a great photo op place coming out of the woods trail after Minnihan Cutoff and over the small bridge. This is a course that runners, coaches, and fans alike are going to love!

First mile is red, second mile is blue, and the third 1.1 mile is yellow. We will have two clocks at the one and two mile marks, one facing the runners the other facing across the lake to the spectators.
