Jason Byrne and Todd Grasley are usually stretched pretty thin, so I generally hear from them on such occasions when a story is afoot, or that one should be. In the days prior to this meet, however, I began to receive a few more communications from J&T than expected.

With so much on-site coverage from the largest cross country meet of the year in Florida, it's nice to have a concise place to link to it all!

Kacy Smith and Estero hope to pick up where they left off and defend their ROC championship.

The two favorites going in are probably Carlos Miranda of Palmetto Ridge and Avery Lopez of Belen Jesuit. Miranda hasn’t really shown himself yet this season, but put up a 15:17 at Pre-State last season and had a 15:30 road race win in August. Lopez is the new leader for the Belen Jesuit dynasty and has a couple of wins under his belt already this season including UF and Fleet Feet. He is also coming off of a stellar track season.

Drum roll please! Here is the much anticipated list of seeding's for this weekend's flrunners.com Invitational 13, the largest race in the state of Florida. This year we have twenty races over two days and around 4,600 athletes registered!

We were shocked to find that the Saturday races filled up completely over a month before the entry deadline. So we scrambled to figure out how to rework the schedule to safely and efficiently handle more teams and fit in another race. Here is the 2012 schedule.

We have several announcements: new logo, first round or Race of Champions invitations, adding new races, and specifics and venue for Adam Goucher/Tim Catalano presentation announced.

It is my pleasure to announce that American distance running icon Adam Goucher will be our Olympian celebrity guest at this year’s 13th Annual FLRUNNERS.COM INVITATIONAL in Titusville.
