22ND ANNUAL SPRING TRACK CLASSIC SCHEDULED FOR APRIL 26
400M Hurdles Added for Ages 15 and Up

HELD at Lake Brantley High Schools 400-meter rubber track in Altamonte Springs, FL.
Events include 100- to 3,000-meter and 1-mile running events; 80-meter, 100/110-meter, and 400-meter hurdles; relays; high jump; long jump; discus; and shot put.
OPEN to athletes from youth through masters level (30 and over).

Altamonte Springs, FL The Central Florida Gliders, the areas oldest youth track and field and cross country club, will host its 22nd Annual Spring Track Classic on April 26, 2014, at Lake Brantley High School in Altamonte Springs, Florida. The meet is open to athletes on teams or unattached from youth through masters (30 and over).

A new event, the 400m hurdles, has been added this year for the 15 and above age groups. Other events include 100- to 3,000-meter and 1-mile running events; 80-meter, 100/110-meter hurdles; relays; high jump; long jump; discus; and shot put. Medals will be awarded for first through third places in each age group. Ribbons will be awarded for fourth through sixth places. Male and female athletes compete separately by age group, following USATF guidelines.

Previous Spring Track Classic meets have drawn more than 800 participants plus spectators from across the state, southeast, the Caribbean, and the United Kingdom, according to Central Florida Gliders Founder and Executive Director Craig D. Wise. We compete on a quality, 400-meter rubber track with experienced, top-notch officials, says Wise. GunLap Running (www.gunlaprunning.com) will provide timing services.

Interested participants should go to www.cfgliders.com for more information. Registration is available online only at www.coacho.com. Entry fee is $6 per event. Registration closes April 24 at 11:59 p.m. No same-day registration will be accepted. A nominal entry fee for spectators will be charged.
