Thank you for once again joining us this year in our First Loretta Smith MS/HS Invitational Meet. This meet has become a combination of a high school and middle school meet due to rained out meets scheduled during the month of February. However due to the demands of the current season the competition committee of James S. Rickards High School has elected to open the meet to all classifications.

First place medals will be awarded to all event winners.

We welcome all teams. This meet is not limited to just Leon County Schools. Again, all schools of all divisions are welcomed to attend this meet.

Meet Information

Team Entry Fee:
For High Schools the fee is $50 for one gender team: $75 for both Boys and Girls teams which will also include your MS boys and girls if your school has both a MS/HS.

For Middle Schools the fee is $30 for one gender or $50 for both

General Admission:
$5 (event bands must remain worn on wrists at all times)

Free Parking

First medals, Second place ribbons, and Third Place ribbons awarded per event.

Final entry date is Wednesday, March 18th by 11:59 p.m. via online registration only.

Entry Limits:
HS - 8 per individual event, 2 relay teams
We will allow 10 in the 100m Dash
MS - Unlimited

Coaches Meeting:
Begins at 9:00 a.m. Location 50 yard line of the football field.

FHSAA Competition Rules.

Due to the large number of participants allowed to compete the games committee of JSRHS will be marking first made attempts in Discus, Shot, Long Jump, and Triple Jump Events and only those meeting the qualifying mark thereafter. This will help move the meet along and keep it competitive.

Long Jump -Girls 15 feet Boys: 18 feet qualifying mark
Triple Jump- Girls 28 feet Boys 36 feet qualifying mark
Discus- Girls 75 feet Boys 100 feet qualifying mark
Shot Put- Girls 25 feet Boys 35 feet qualifying mark

Girls and then Boys- Standard Track & Field order with
the exception of the Pole vault.

Starting Heights:
High Jump: Girls 4' 00", Boys 5' 00" Pole Vault: Girls 5' 00", Boys 8' 00"

Athletes are not allowed on the football field during Meet.

9:00 a.m. Implement weigh-ins (Side of concession stand)

9:00 a.m. Coaches Meeting @ center of FB field

10:00 a.m. Pole Vault Event begins.

PRESENTATION OF COLORS CEREMONY PROMPTLY @ 9:45 AM JSRHS ROTC

10:00 a.m. All other field events and G/B 4 X 800 will begin.

12:00 p.m. All Hurdles, dashes, runs, and relays.
Order will be MS followed by HS.

Note: Team staging areas will be pre-assigned. Please review all current rule changes that are in effect for the 2015 season. We look forward to a very competitive sportsmanship filled competition.
