2015 Catholic Grade School Track Championships
Friday February 6th, 2015 at Bishop John Snyder High School
Time schedule:
5:00 Coaches meeting. Will take place at the tent behind the 100 meter start.
5:30 Field Events begin/4th grade and below Open 100 meter run.
o Boys disc, then girls
o Girls shot put, then boys
o Boys and girls long jump will take place simultaneously; boys will jump at the southeast
pit, girls at the northeast pit, both on the visitor side. o Girls High jump, followed by boys
6:30 running events begin, rolling schedule in the following order:
o 100M
o 1600M
o 4x100M
o 400M
o 800M
o 4x400M
Format:
Open to all 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade students attending Catholic Grade schools in the Diocese.
There will not be separate divisions for each grade.
Each school may enter only 3 boys and 3 girls from each grade in each event except for 800
and 1600. Unlimited entries for the 800 and 1600. Only the first three (from each school) will score. All running events will be heats against time.
All field events will be 3 attempts each.
Each school may enter one relay team per event. Relay teams can be mixed grades.
Athletes may compete in a maximum of 4 events. Use your discretion on what your athletes
can handle. Dont overdo it for them.
For all running events girls will precede the boys.
There will be a special 100 meter race for 4th grade and under at 5:30 PM when the meet begins.
Ribbons for 1st-8th place, the rest will receive a participation ribbon.

Awards:
Ribbons for places one through eight in each grade school event.

Entries:
Deadline for entries will be Monday, Feb 2nd. Entries will be done via www.flrunners.com. This is very easy to do, if you have any questions, please email me and I will help you out.
o You must set your school up before you can enter the meet. If you came last year, you should be good to go. If not, please go ahead and do this NOW, as it takes a few days to get an account set up through flrunners.
o If you miss the deadline, there will be NO changes. You may scratch athletes at the meet, but there will be NO additions. Relays can be changed, as long as they do not exceed 4 events.
For the Open 100 (4th grade and below), you do not need to enter their names. Show up and race.
Encourage your kids to come out! No prior experience is needed.
