Mason Finley (CO) started the weekend on a high note Thursday evening by throwing the shot put 65-05 for a U.S. #2 performance, while earning a U.S. #1discus performance in 211-10. Between Finley's performances and the Eleanor Roosevelt (MD) (pictured above by Pat Montferrat) girls 4x800m relay national record of 8:43.12 and 4x400m relay win of 3:37.16 at the Penn Relays, this weekend is turning into the best of the season. **MileSplit Penn Coverage Boys Top Weekend Performances - Kevin Havel (IL) runs 8:59.12 to win 3200m at Prospect Inv. The FHSAA 1A-2A State Championships (Florida) kick off this season's state championships as the regular season slowly comes to a close in many states. 1A State Meet Coverage, Kayla Parker Scores 40 Points! Apr 25, 2008

  It was a great day at Showalter Field. The 1A athletes put on a great show for us today, the greatest of those being the incredible feat by Kayla Parker (Pt. St. Joe). She won FOUR state championships, taking 10 points in the 100m, 200m, 100H, and long jump! We have over a thousand photos up and lots of videos are being uploaded.
