Ryan Pickering sets meet/course record for two hours, before Jimmy Clark breaks it! Erika and Kathryn Fluehr run away with 1A title (in that finish order!). Estero sweeps 2A, with Kacy Smith zooming to individual win as well. Much much more! We have dozens of videos uploaded (more coming), thousands of photos now posted, complete results are up, and more coverage coming.
So the virtual meets were published, but those are just numbers. How about some subjective analysis? As I look over the list of competitors this year and these incredible teams... I am a bit in awe. This is the deepest that I ever remember Florida being EVER in my 14 years of being around the sport at least. The incredible depth of so many teams is just unbelievable and how many individuals are competing at national level caliber times is just stunning. GO FLORIDA! With that said, there can only be eight winners and tomorrow will decide just that. So here is my scouting report of what I am expecting to see out there at the Ranch.
17:52 for second place
Our database includes over 51,000 individual Florida high school cross country performances from this fall. We have crunched the numbers for all of the teams entered in this Saturday's race and constructed "virtual meets" to provide a solid look at how the results may pan out at Little Everglades. These virtual meet results do not include unattached individuals (only teams who qualified) and keep in mind there is a reason they still have to run the race! But hopefully you enjoy them (subscribers only).
