Coach Oliver has been a distance runner for over 10 years and continues to run races in the area. He is in his 2nd year of coaching. In his first year of coaching at Pine Forest High school (2008) he was named Cross Country Coach of the Year for leading the Pine Forest Boys Cross Country team to 8th place in the 3A State Cross Country Championship.
