Dear Coach,

The Alpha Omega Elite Track Club is proud to announce that we will be hosting the “Youth & Middle School South Regional Qualifying Meet” for the flrunners.com middle school State Championship. We would like to extend an invitation to your athletes to participate in this event, with the hope that they may qualify for the state championship. The regional area consists of the following counties-, Monroe, Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami Dade.

This meet will be sanction by the USATF and will take place on April 19th 2008 at the beautiful de la Cruz Stadium located on the athletic campus of Belen Jesuit Preparatory. The track consists of nine rubberized lanes along with all of its runways for the jumps. It also has stadium-seating capacity for over 1300 spectators with plenty of green areas to set up your team tents, parking, bathrooms, concession stand and athletic training room.

Directions: to de la Cruz Stadium - take the Florida Turnpike South and get off on SW 8thStreet exit - go WEST, stay on street until you get to 127thAvenue. On 127thAvenue make a right, proceed past the school to the track and enter through Gate No. 4 for parking and admission.

If you are coming from the southwest or west region, take 1-75 to the Miami exit SR27. Go east to Krome Avenue exit, make a right on Krome Avenue and proceed on this road until you get to SW 8th street, make a left on SW 8th street and proceed to 127thAvenue. On 127thAvenue make a left; go past the school to Gate 4 for parking and admission.

Orders of events: Girls first then Boys, field events start at 9:00AM, this includes Long Jump, Triple Jump, Shot, Discus, High Jump and Pole Vault. Running events will start at 10:00 AM with 3000M, 100LH, 100M, 4X 800M Relay, 1500M, 4X100M Relay, 400M, 200MH, 800M, 200M, 4X400M Relay. All events will be run as finals. The normal order of events has been deviated from in order to run the longest race of the day in cooler weather.
