Ricky Quintana previews the 1A state meet which will feature a battle in the girls team race between last year's podium teams Admiral Farragut and Oak Hall. On the boy's side four teams including Admiral Farragut, TFA, P.K. Yonge, and Northside Christian all have a chance at gold. Individually Seffner Christian's Noah Perkins pictured above and Hannah Brookover of Calvary Christian are favored in the distance events.


4A State Championship Virtual Meet: Can Tyrese 'Smoke' Cooper Capture Four Golds? Todd Grasley May 03, 2016

American High School freshman phenom Tyrese "Smoke" Cooper doesn't like to lose. Cooper is the favorite to win the 100, 200, and 400 as well anchor the second seeded 4x400m relay team. His performance will be valuable in the Patriot's race for a team title against the likes of Lyman and my alma mater Osceola who is the favorite in our virtual meet. Southridge and Lakewood Ranch will battle it out for the first two spots on the girls side. Take a look at the virtual meet for the state's largest classification, 4A.


3A State Championship Virtual Meet: Northeast Freshman Ford Favored In 400, MNW Shoe In For 8th Straight Todd Grasley May 03, 2016

Northeast High School freshman Jan'Taijah Ford or T1 as she's nicknamed is the favorite in the 400 and ranked third in the 200m dash. Ford will also run the 4x400 for a stellar Hurricane team. Trouble is they are in the same classification as Miami Northwestern and the Lady Bulls who are on pace to win their 8th straight state championship by a large margin. MCC's Amanda Beach (1068), Ransom Everglades' Lauren Archer (1372), and Pine Crest's Julia Montgomery (1310) seen here in the 1,600m invitational race at the FSU Relays will go head to head again at the 2A Region 4 Championship in a race that boasts the top seven girls with PR's under 5:10! We have virtual meets for every regional to give you a perspective on how each meet is projected to play out!

The road to state continues on Tuesday with regional meets across the state. In the smallest classification 1A, Region 1 will be Tuesday at Bishop Snyder, with Region 2 & 4 on Thursday at Calvary Christian and Dade Christian respectively. 1A Region 3 is Friday at the First Academy in Orlando. We have virtual meets for every regional to give you a perspective on how each meet is projected to play out!

Lincoln Park junior Caleb Pottorff (seen here at the FSU Relays) won the district 3,200m title for the third straight year. His time of 9:38.57 was the best of any at this week's district meets while his 4:22.89 ranks sixth. We merged all the results from around the state to see the top 25 boys times/marks in EVERY EVENT to find who won the week!

The Miami Northwestern girls DOMINATED their district meet tallying 363 points and are favored to win 3A Region 4 and their 8th straight 3A state championship. We merged the results of the four districts that compose each of the 16 regionals to see who has the best shot at advancing to the state meet!
