The Light At The End Of The Tunnel Zack Bias Sep 11, 2014

As student athletes, it is easy to get caught up in the balancing act of running, school, and social life. I have found that sometimes it is easy to become drained by the seemingly tedious schedule that most students have. I myself am in one of those phases right now, but fortunately, there’s always a light at the end of the tunnel.

It’s Not About Me, It’s About We Zack Bias Sep 5, 2014

Well it’s finally here!  The opening week of cross country and that old familiar feeling is beginning to settle in. It’s time for team pasta dinners, going to bed early on Friday nights, and crazy pre-race rituals. Personally I have a unique pre-race ritual that always gets me going for races. Every race day as soon as we finish our running warmup, I proceed to consume a Three Musketeers Bar, and listen to the song “Shipping Out to Boston” by the Dropkick Murphy’s. This combination of fuel and music always get my body primed and ready for a good race, despite my teammates thinking this I’m crazy.Despite the fact that racing is about to begin I hope most of us don’t forget that cross country is truly a TEAM sport.

In His Own Words: Zack Bias - Stronger Every Week Zack Bias Aug 27, 2014

Hey flrunners! My name is Zack Bias and I am a senior at Creekside High School in Saint Johns, Florida. I am known to blast some boy band music from my car to get amped up before practices and of course I also have one of the weirdest hobbies out there... running!

Clark Claims SEC Title In 10k Todd Grasley May 11, 2013

Slow and tactical. That's how former Creekside standout and University of Florida freshman Jimmy Clark describes the 10k at this year's SEC Championships. The field came through the first 5k in roughly 15:06. Clark says coming in his coaches told the team to hang back from the leaders and not to lead the race. It was a plan that the youngster and teammate Josh Izewski executed to perfection.

Showdown at the Ranch, Pre-State Meet is Tomorrow Jason Byrne Oct 17, 2008

This weekend a couple thousand of runners, including many of the best in the state of Florida, will be headed to an out-of-the way ranch in dimly populated North Pasco County.  Down the small dirt, wooden path they will venture, hoping their bus does not get stuck.  And then finally over the railroad tracks, the woods open up and they will see it:  the beautiful Little Everglades Ranch.  Some hate the course, some love it.  But there is no denying it is one of the most beautiful spaces of authentic Florida that you will find.  No tourists.  No urban sprawl.  Just a serene natural setting filled with the greenest grass, wetland ponds, blue herons and other water birds, along with a few hundred head of cattle! 2096 athletes and 80 schools are entered, coming from as far away as Key West and Fort Walton Beach.  Some of them are perennial powers.  Others are small but developing programs.  All coming together for this preview of the season culminating state championship meet just over a month from now. Here is your first look at the competition.
