FIHS GOLDEN EAGLES TRACK 2010

The squad is coached by Jordan Bright and Suzanne Baker with Assistant Coaches Scott Motes and Corey Yarborough

Coach Jordan Bright has coached track since 1996 and is a USATF Certified coach. He spent 7 years at WJHS in Middleburg before assuming the Girls Head Coach Position at FIHS in 2004. He is now in charge of the track program at FIHS and is also the Boys' Head Coach. He enjoys working with the hurdlers, high jumpers, and the sprinters. He is also the Boys' Head Swim Coach at FIHS

Coach Suzanne Baker is the Girls' Head Coach and the Distance Coach at FIHS after coaching track and cross country for several years at Ed White High School. She is also USATF certified. She is an avid runner and runs numerous events including the River Run where she finishes in the Top 10%

Coach Scott Motes is one of our new sprint coaches. He brings with him several years of experience from the junior high level. He works with the sprinters and with the FIHS football team.

Coach Corey Yarbrough is our new Throwing Coach and has extensive background coaching and competing in shotput and discus. He is also a football coach here at FIHS


FIHS GOLDEN EAGLES CROSS COUNTRY

Coach Jason Poole has been the head boys' Cross Country Coach since 2006 when he moved to Fleming Island from Massachusetts. He was a varsity cross country runner in high school and has continued to be an avid runner since. In 2006 and 2007, the boys' team placed second in their district, and they went on to win their first District Championship trophy in 2008. Coach Poole also teaches English at the high school.

Coach Jennifer Hollingsworth has been the girls' head coach since 2005. She is a passionate distance runner and has done an amazing job working with the girls, culminating in a District Runner-Up trophy and a team appearance at the state meet last season. She is also a history teacher at the high school.
