The Lady Mustangs won their 3rd Invitational of the season winning the Manasota Track Club Meet. LRHS scored scored 16 points, 1 point shy of a perfect score defeating Riverview (42), Sarasota HS (98) and Lemon bay (109). Kristin Zarrella set a new course record with her 20:09 Invitational win. Helping with the team scoring were: Olivia Ortiz 2nd (20:19), Devin McDermott 4th (21:00),Natalie Novak 5th (21:01), and Ashley Platt 7th (21:01).

Kristin Zarrella set a new school record of 18:57.71 at the Flrunners.com Race of Champions race. Lakewood Ranch placed 6th overall and 1st for teams in the 3A division. Kristin Zarrells, Olivia Ortiz, Devin McDermott, Ashley Platt and Natalie Novak all ran PR's for the race running fast times.

Lakewood Ranch High School Girls Varsity Cross Country team brought home the North Port Invitational Girls Varsity Division Championship trophy scoring an incredible 31 points. They had 6 girls in the top 15 positions including Olivia Ortiz 2nd (19:47), Kristin Zarrella 6th (20:21), Devin McDermott 8th (20:32),Emily Wray 9th (20:40), Ashley Platt 10th (20:42) and Natalie Novak 11th (20:46).

The Lady Mustangs placed 1st at the Mountain Dew Invitational held on 9/18/09 at the University of Florida Golf course in Gainesville, Florida. The Mustangs scored 95 points to take home the trophy. 2nd place went to Winter Park (108), 3rd to Riverview (138) and 4th to Fort Myers (157). In the top 15 for LRHS were Kristen Zarrella 9th (19:55), Olivia Ortiz 13th (20:25) and Devin McDermott 15th (20:38)

New school record by Devin McDermott today at the county meet. Devin McDermott, Megan Reuss, Hailey Stoffel, and Ayla Allen made the All County team. Congratulations on number 10.
