Everett Whiteside, More than a Coach
Everett Whiteside has been coaching cross country and track and field at Washington High School for more than 15 years. His accomplishments include a Team Cross Country State Championship, individual State Champions, multiple top five team finishes and multiple county and district championships. However, it is not only his statistical accomplishments that make Whiteside a great coach, but how he has changed his runners’ lives.

The Secret to Pensacola Washington's Success Revealed
Booker T. Washington High School in Pensacola has one of the most successful distance programs in the state. We now know their secret: eat a Krispy Kream, run a lap. It makes you tough apparently. Jacob Kotick was the boys champion with 15 doughnuts without bursting, while Casilda Ruiz paced the girls by keeping down 6. Video inside and don't worry, it's not graphic! All Eyes Are On Nickinson
Chris Nickinson has improved rapidly over the past year and put up some excellent performances last fall including a 6th place finish at the state meet. Recently, he posted a new PR of 4:24.38 for the indoor mile at UF. We caught up with Chris to discuss cross country, the UF mile, and what lies ahead.
