Salute To Seniors: Tayler Johnson - Hagerty High School



What was your most memorable race?

My most memorable race was at districts 2012. It was the 4x 400. We won that meet by half a point but had to win the 4 x 400 to win.

Who would you consider your biggest competition over your four years?

My biggest competition seemed to change every year.

What was your greatest accomplishment?

My greatest accomplishment was placing 3rd at states my senior year

If you could do it all over again what would you change about your running career in high school?

If I could do it all over again I would train a lot harder during the summer

What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?

The most difficult obstacles were figuring out what events I was going to do my freshman year

What will you miss the most?

My coach Matt Malkovich and my track family

What advice you would give to younger athletes?

Set your dreams a lot higher than what you think you can accomplish

What influence has your coach had with respect to your performance and overall life goals?

He's influenced my life just as much as my performance and always puts his athletes before himself

What are your college plans?

I plan to run crross-country and track at UNF

Who would you like to say thank you to?

I would like to thank my parents and sister for going to every meet no matter how long they lasted or how far away, my coach for never giving up on me and always pushing me, my teammates for always pushing me harder in practice and at meets, and God for getting me through the not so easy times.
