Salute To Seniors: Trayvon Bromell - Gibbs High School



What was your most memorable race?


My most memorable race was egionals when I ran 10.14 NWI in the 100m dash.  It showed me without wind pushing me I still can run fast times.
 
Who would you consider your biggest competition over your four years?
 
I would say Kermit (Levonte Whitfield) was my toughest competition because of his mindset . We both think the same when it come to competition. We are both hungry to win. When racing some one like that you have to be prepared.
 
What was your greatest accomplishment?

My greatest accomplishments were running the times to make it as US #1 in the 100.
 
If you could do it all over again what would you change about your running career in high school?
 
I would change my feeling about weights. I really didn't lift weights so I wish I did that so I could have been much stronger.
 
What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?
 
The most difficult obstacles to overcome were reaking my knees and my hip, but it didn't stop me cause I knew what GOD had in store for me. 
 
What will you miss the most?
 
I will miss running with the athletes I met this year as well as my team and coaches.
 
What advice you would give to younger athletes?  
 
The skies the limit, but you have to work hard. "To be the best and stay there, sweat is necessary". The greatest glory in living, lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall
 
What influence has your coach had with respect to your performance and overall life goals?
 
My coaches influenced me to strive for success, to never give up and to strive for the perfect race.
 
What are your college plans?
 
I'm headed to Baylor University. I am hoping  to get freshman of the year honors and run times that will shock the world.
 
Who would you like to say thank you to?
 
I would like to thank GOD , family , coaches , friends, Lightning Bolt Track Club, Gibbs High School ,and Todd and Jason for all the love on flrunners.

Stay lion hearted and be hungry for greatness.
