Salute To Seniors: William David - Evans High School

What was your greatest accomplishment?

My greatest accomplishment was running a personal best twice at the Golden South Classic.

If you could change anything about your running career what would you change?

I would change how I cared for my body to prevent injuries.

What were the biggest obstacles you had to overcome?

The biggest obstacle I had to overcome was mental aspect of tearing a hamstring because it was always in the back of my mind.

What will you miss the most?

I will miss the moments created with my friends at meets and practice.

What advice would you give the younger athletes?

The advice I would give is to be e a student first. Being good in the classroom will make your athletic experience so much better. Also, listen to your body because you know it better than anyone else.

What influence has your coach had with respect to your performance and overall life goals?

More importantly than  being trained by Coach White and helping me to this point, he helped me learn how to be a well rounded young man. He helped me keep faith amongst other things when times were hard this past year and that goes beyond track.

 What are your college plans?

In college I plan to be the best student athlete i can be and perform well on the national level.

Who would you like to say thank you to?

They say it takes a village to raise a child so i would like to thank everyone who played a role in my life because i couldnt' have done it alone. Special thanks to my close friends, competitors,  family , and most importantly my mother and Coach White.

Is there anything you'd like to add?

Without God and faith none of this would have been possible. Everything is possible if you keep faith and keep pushing through
