As runners of track and field and cross country and fans of the sport, we are all part of a larger running commity. It is in a time of need, such as the case with Gulf Coast High School runner Elizabeth Roux, that your help is greatly appreciated.
Elizabeth's mom is fighting cancer. It's a battle that is not easy and is not cheap. While fighting this deadly disease, she is unable to work, and work is the only income for the Roux family. Elizabeth is a member of the local running club, Gulf Coast Runners. GCR along with Naples on the Run will host a Dasn N Dine Fundraier August 13th. The event will start at 6:00 p.m. beginning and ending at Naples On The Run.
Donations will be accepted for the "Elizabeth's Mom Fund" and no amount is too small. All funds will be used for medical bills and to help the family with living expenses.
It is in these trying times when the strength of a community rallies together.
