Dodging the worst of day-long Central Florida showers, eight of the weekend’s 20 races got off without a hitch.

Brothers Mamush (age 12) and Kayamo (age 11) Galloway went one-two—in 17:46 and 17:59, respectively--but their Trinity Prep five-some couldn’t match Fort Myers' 3-4-5-7-8 finish, and the latter copped the JV Blue team title with 27 points.

In the Girls JV Blue Run, Trinity Prep 6th-grader Audrey McAnalley won her second race in two weeks in a stellar 21:11, but the Fort Myers team captured their second race within an hour (2-3-5-13-14; 37) behind the duo of Sidney Oakse-Lottridge and Isabelle Koflin (21:42, 21:53, respectively).

Lake Highland’s Rachel Stockton (20:18) and Madison Larabee (20:30) went one-three, leading their team (1-3-15-16-17; 52) to the Girls Small School championship.

In the Large School Girls Race, Abigail Grant of Sickles and Lianna Farnesi did their best to beat each other, but by the time their post-race interview had concluded, they were the best of friends.

In the race, however, Grant (19:28) prevailed over Farnesi (19:39). Winter Springs (3-6-12-15-21) garnished the team gold.

Calvary Christian (Ft. Lauderdale) star Joel Lacy (16:35) outsprinted the Shorecrest Porter-Peterson duo to win the Boys Small School Race, but their lead capped a 2-3-13-15-27 Shorecrest team finish, and earned them the team title with 61 points.

Port Charlotte junior Tyler Fisher led for three miles, but couldn’t match Sickles’ James Zentmeyer’s last tenth, and the latter’s 52 second PR (15:58) won by a tight two seconds.

As Coach Johnny Gray shadowed his UCF Women’s team, an unstoppable Anne-Marie Blaney set a 17:24 school record and collegeiage meet record, leading her Knights team to the golden winner’s cup. JU was bested by a brash new Stetson team for second.

A tandem of former high school Race of Champions helped give the University of Florida the easy team victory. Carlos Miranda (15:17) led a 1-3-4-5-10 Gator finish to take the College Men’s crown, with Elliot Clemente coming in second for the gators (third overall) in 15:28. St. Leo University looked great with a perfect 15 in non-Division 1 scoring behind Carl Dunne's 15:18.
