Hello Flrunners. I hope everyone is doing well as we have reached the end of the season. It has flown by, but the state meet is this Saturday!
Niceville went down to Lake City for the 3A region 1 meet last Saturday and we performed great. Both the girls’ team and the guys qualified to state. I was so proud that we were sending both teams to state as the last time we did that was 2010. I’ve been a little ill lately but I know I will be ready for States. Not just me though, our TEAM is ready. In a virtual meet we are 4th and we will do anything to move up. It will be difficult, but I know if we run our best anything can happen. On both squads, I believe we have 11 seniors so we all want to go out on a high note. I know the team will do their best and that’s all I’ve ever asked of them.
After states some of the guys plan to make the trip up to Charlotte for Footlocker South. Thanks to my friend Tripp we will sporting some pretty sweet shorts there. He bought them in Korea on a recent trip he made. Just like at any other race I will just do my best. Hopefully Florida will be able to send some guys to Nationals. On another note, recruiting has been going good and I’ve heard from a few other guys on where they are thinking about going. I would like to hear from more of you though as I would like to decide fairly soon so I can get it out of the way and focus on track.
Anyways, this might be the final time that I blog for you guys so I hope you enjoyed it as much as I have. It’s been an honor. Thanks Todd for giving me the opportunity. I will see you all at ARP and good luck out on the course.
