Hey flrunners! A quick thank you to Todd for letting me blog again. I seriously love writing blogs for flrunners. It's such an honor.I can't believe it's already March and outdoor season. My senior year is really going by quickly. I feel like it was just cross country season.I'm happy to say I signed with the University of Georgia .It's so nice to know where I am going. I love competing for my team, but I'm so excited to go to college and run for UGA.

We've already had three track meets. Our first was the Lipham Relays and it was very team-oriented and a fun way to get the season started. The next was the City Championships and I'm happy to say my team won the 4x8 and came near our PR from last year, and I also won the 1600 and 3200. We were 3rd in the 4x4 and I felt like I was going to die as I did the 400 right after the 3200. I really like the new rule of being able to run four events. Assata Trader and Katie Barnett did really well and added a lot to our point total. We were runner -ups at cities which is big for our team. We don't have a lot of people and we don't even enter all of the events. I don't think we have ever won a trophy, but we did and it was super exciting.

Last week we had Bay Conference. I decided to do the 4x8, 1600,800, and 3200 in order to give us the most amount of points. I ran a six second PR split in the 4x8 (2:23) and my teammate Olivia Rovin ran a 2:22 to help us get the win. The 4x8 team (including Savannah Broome and Rachel Knauf also) ran 10:19 and were three seconds off a school record. It was a pretty good way to start the day. Shorecrest hosted the meet and Coach Raab and Coach Pope had the meet running quickly. We had about 15 minutes after finishing the 4x8 to do the 1600. It was pretty hard but I was able to run a PR and get the win. I then did the open 800 like 45 minutes later and I was dying, especially because I knew I only had the 200 to go and then I would be doing the 3200. My teammate Olivia Rovin ended up beating me in the 800 for the first time ever and I couldn't have been more proud of her. Our team ended up losing by seven points for the conference title, but we are developing more people into events that we didn't enter so we can win bigger stuff, like districts.

My next race is the 1600 at FSU and I'm seriously so excited for it. Best of luck to everyone who is competing this week!
