Keeping Score: Flrunners.com Invitational To Feature Live Scoreboard

We are proud to announce a new addition to enhance the race experience for runners and fans at the Flrunners.com Invitational 15. Elite Timing will be bringing out a 9' x 6' Daktronics Scoreboard that will give team results at the mile and 2.5 mile markers and display the names and times at the finish. The splits will be viewable on the results both on paper and on online. In addition, the live results feed will also feature the team scores listed at each mark as well as the athlete-results. Chris Kail of Elite Timing says this scoreboard which was also in use at the Pre-State and Cross Country Finals in Tallahassee, is a collaborative effort and they are excited to bring it to Chain Of Lakes Park at the end of the month.

"It has been a collaborative effort with Half-MileTiming to get a procedure in place to be able to not only provide this type of service and be accurate about it. We are very excited about where this kind of technology can take us in the future."

Jason Byrne, the founder of the flrunners.com Invitational, is equally excited to have the new feature at one of the largest meets of the year.

"I think the new scoreboard is going to make it a lot more fun to be a fan and allow them to interact live. Now, they can follow along on the race, follow the moves, and where the runners stand at certain points in the course. This is just another piece of the puzzle in making our meet the best cross country invitationals possible."

In the week's leading up to FLR 15 on October 3rd and 4th, we will be providing more announcements, updates, and previews to get you pumped up and ready for race day!
