Butler Given The Boot By Holy Trinity: Former Athletes/Parents Speak Out In Support For Coach

Tuesday morning, long time Holy Trinity Coach Doug Butler was relieved of his duties and dismissed from the school. Butler, is the winningest cross country coach in state history after both the boy's and girl's programs picked up their 8th state titles this year to give him 16 total to go with four in track. Over his fifteen year span, he has coached numerous state champions, sent dozens of kids to college on running scholarships, and served as a mentor and role model to thousands. Although specific details for his release are unknown, current and former athletes, parents, and the running community are speaking out in support of Butler and the positive effect he has had.
