In Her Own Words: Rebecca Clark

Hey everybody! My name is Rebecca Clark. I am a freshman this year and I will be running for Mount Dora Christian Academy. I am very excited for this cross country season!

This summer I have been focusing on miles. I average about 35-45 miles per week. Most of my runs during the week are between five and seven miles. I do my long run (10-11 miles) on the weekend. I usually do my long run in Clermont at Five Mile Road and rest on Sunday.

I have been running with a group of people from different schools this summer. I run with Kyle Fox from the Villages, Cole Pruim from Legacy, and Gabriel Curtis from Circle Christian. We usually meet in the mornings a few times a week, the rest of my runs are done alone in my neighborhood. I also train with my brother Troy Clark, he helps me with my workouts and pacing. We also played a lot of beach volleyball after workouts which was fun.

I just wanted to thank Todd for giving me the opportunity to blog. I can't wait for this season and want to wish everybody good luck!
